Lili's eating adventures
Despite having only two teeth, Lili has moved on to quite a few new foods. Tonight she had Boeuf Carbonnade (Beef cooked in beer) with sauteed radishes, haricot vert and pea shoots. We used Wisconsin Brewing Co.'s chocolate oatmeal stout for the beer and served it with papperdelle noodles.

It was a big hit!!
Recipe:
Take about a pound of thin sliced tenderloin - salt & pepper, then flour. Crisp fry in olive oil in batches, set aside. In the same pan, fry a couple of sliced vidalias with about 2 T of tomato paste, add 2-3 cloves of garlic, then a T or so of flour. Brown, add in a little beef and chicken stock, then dark beer, the prebviously fried beef, thyme, bay leaves and a T of cider vinegar. Bring to a low boil, then simmer for an hour or so.
